A Little Bit Of History The North Humberside Snooker League was established in 1984 by Wilf Nesfield. The first secretary was John Kitchen who ran the league for the first two seasons and then handed the responsibility to Rowland Sherwood. Rowland ran the league until he passed away in 1996. The league is now run by Malcolm Acaster and his wife Josie who have carried the baton since 1996. The league has two seasons per year, summer and winter, and up to twelve teams per season from each of the divisions participate for the coveted titles. Matches are played on Monday evenings only.
